Program Development Officer

 

POSITION NO : PDO/April 08

LOCATION : 6 Moo Street, Berrimah

POSITION STATUS : Full Time (1 year contract)

RESPONSIBLE TO : Executive Officer

RESPONSIBLE FOR : Monitoring & updating database, liaising with NT members

SPECIAL FEATURES :

  • Travel intra-state may be required
  • A Prohibited Persons Declaration form must be signed before commencement
  • Must have current Class C Northern Territory Drivers License  

ROLE PROFILE:

The Program Development Officer liaises with stakeholders to support and promote “The Award” and is responsible for the communication of activities and development, through programming and promotion of activities in consultation with stakeholders and Dukes Executive. The position will provide review, analysis and recommendation of programming and stakeholder engagement. The secondary focus of this position will develop marketing collateral through collaboration of priority with the Executive Officer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effort is made to ensure that stakeholders understand what has been said and that the information has been understood
  • Public Speaking at Award Ceremonies
  • Any necessary interventions to minimise disruptions, maintain order or resolve conflicts in accordance with organisational procedure
  • Stakeholder requests are dealt with promptly and politely, in line with organisational procedures
  • Promote The Award through Secondary schools and other appropriate groups or organisations
  • Identify, promote, and source new potential operators and coordinators
  • Liaise with and assist volunteer coordinators and other adult support in the operations and promotion of the Program
  • Provide reports to the Executive Officer on activities undertaken on a weekly basis
  • Maintain supportive contact with schools, corporate organisations and other community groups participating in the operations of the Award.
  • Recruit general volunteers, coordinators and other adult support to assist in the operations and promotion of the Award
  • Maintain monthly supportive contact and provide sufficient resources to all Registered Operators
  • Actively promote the benefits of The Award to potential Operators such as cadets, sports teams and community groups
  • Produce publications for the promotion of upcoming expeditions and events conducted by the Awards
  • Provide training to stakeholders
  • Provide oral presentations to stakeholders public
  • Maintain data base of Registered Operators in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Develop innovative activities for young people involved in the Program utilising the resources and talents of community groups and volunteers

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Criminal History Check
  • Initiative
  • good time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Experience in customer service

Desirable

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Retail / Business Adminstration
