Updated Duke of Ed Handbook
The updated version of The Duke of Ed Handbook is finally coming to you and you can find it under the Handbook page!
What is The Handbook?
So you've heard about The Handbook but have no idea what it is - don't worry, it's not a necessary read for Participants but we definitely encourage you to give it a read, as it can provide some more insight into how The Duke of Ed works; plus it's an interesting read!
The Duke of Ed Handbook is a guidelines manual for Licensed Operators and Coordinators (what is an LO?) on how to run The Duke of Ed. It is a required read for Coordinators to ensure they know all elements of the Award and gives them the knowledge to answer Participant questions about different Award programmes.
It covers all different areas from what the role of a Coordinator is to what equipment and training is required for the Adventurous Journey to the International set up of The Duke of Ed. You name it, it's in there!
The Handbook is extremely important to the organisation of The Duke of Ed, making sure that everyone has guidelines to work with and live by. Give it a read and you may surprise yourself with what The Duke of Ed has to offer! :)
