What a night indeed!

We were frocked and fabulous last night at our inaugural "Dressed to Kilt" (or DTK as we are now referring to it back in the office).  With all the right ingredients - a wicked presenter (thanks Kai, you were FABULOUS), an amazing auctionneer (thanks David), some of the hottest designers in town (you know who you are), gorgeous models (thanks Scene, and thanks Toni & Guy and Napoleon for helping them scrub up so fine), and a pipe band to blow them all away (thanks Scots College, you were incredible) - not to mention the delicious food and drinks and the amazing amazing prizes, what could go wrong?

Everyone arrived at 7(ish) and were greeted by our gorgeous volunteers and the night just kicked off from there.  The fundraising was all about fun and fabulousness, and all the guests joined in with gusto.  So thank you, thank you, thank you to all our supporters, both corporate and individual, who really helped us pull off one of the funnest evenings The Award has seen in a long time.

Kai kicked off the main event, followed by a few words from our illustrious CEO, Kim... And from there it was tartanistic extravaganza... the models were stunning in the one off designs by Tim O'Connor, Charlie Brown, Bianca Spender, Bracewell, Hannah McLeod, Brooke Benson and Katie Perry... Bad Ezzy mixed the tunes for the show, followed by Anna Lunoe on the decks... It was such a great night, and we even had a few celebs in tow... David then jumped onto the red carpet to auction off the pieces to 7 lucky people... Can you believe that I was one of them??? My darling husband dug deep and I am now the lucky owner of the Tim O'Connor number - I am loving myself in that dress!   Check it out....

After the main event we kept playing the fundraising games until we were practically thrown out - a sure sign of a truly great night.

Thanks again to everyone who turned up, supported, sent well wishes etc etc.... We love you all and can't wait for the next one, which will of course, be even bigger and better!

Ciao for now,

Rachel at National

I was a volunteer, it was so nice for us to be mentioned in this blog. There was 3 men who stayed til about 2am playing the wine game until it was all gone! They must have spent over $300 each jsut on that game.
