As an Organisation that works with children and young people getting them to make the most of themselves, The Duke of Ed has had to make certain that they are being kept protected; The Duke of Ed National Office has taken a bunch of steps to make this happen.
The Duke of Ed not only has a 'Working with Children Policy' but also a 'Volunteer Code of Conduct' which you will be able to find under Resources.
It is also compulsory for EVERY Award Coordinator to undertake a police check, as well as following the protocols and requirements surrounding ‘Working with Children Check’ - these protocols are dependent upon the legislation of your State or Territory, so if you have further questions speak to your State or Territory office. All Award Coordinators must undertake a police check.
